Guzhen Township in Zhongshan, often referred to as China’s lighting capital, spans over 50 square kilometers and dominates 70% of China’s lighting market. Its products reach over 130 countries and regions, cementing its position as a global leader in the industry.

Tourism is another sector with significant growth potential in the area. “The Shenzhong Link will bring Greater Bay Area (GBA) cities within a one-hour travel radius, encompassing over 25 million consumers,” said Huang Chuping, assistant to the general manager of the Shenzhen Each Travel Chuangjing International Travel Agency. “Previously, Shenzhen residents needed three to four hours to reach western Guangdong via the Humen Bridge or Nansha Bridge, deterring many tourists.”

With plans to open a branch in Zhongshan by the end of this month, the agency is actively capitalizing on new opportunities. They are designing tourism packages that not only cover Shenzhen and Zhongshan but also extend to Foshan, Jiangmen, Zhuhai, and Yangjiang.

The new travel routes aim to enhance the appeal of the region, drawing more tourists and boosting local economies. With improved infrastructure and strategic planning, Guzhen Township is poised to become a significant player in both the lighting and tourism sectors.
