Harvard Singing Group Immersed in Shenzhen Tour

The Harvard Din & Tonics, a renowned a cappella group from Harvard University, embarked on a vibrant three-day visit to Shenzhen, China, from Friday to Sunday, as part of their global performance tour. This visit was organized by The Harvard Club of South China, Guangdong.

During their stay, the group delved into Shenzhen’s high-tech landscape by visiting prominent firms such as Tencent. They also explored the city’s rich history at the Shenzhen Museum. On Friday, they had the opportunity to exchange musical insights with students at Shenzhen Middle School. Their visit culminated with their participation in the Harvard x Yale Shenzhen Education Forum.

The group’s itinerary included multiple engagements:

Friday: Visits to Tencent, a DJI flagship store, and Shenzhen Museum. They also interacted with students at Shenzhen Middle School, where members of the Lumos a cappella group and the Middle School Choir showcased their talents.
Saturday: A performance at Shenzhen Middle School, followed by a musical exchange with the students. One enthusiastic student even took a selfie with a group member.
Sunday: The Harvard x Yale Shenzhen Education Forum at Sky Concert Hall, where the Harvard Din & Tonics performed alongside Glintwine, a duo of Yale graduates.

The Harvard Din & Tonics’ visit not only highlighted the cultural and technological advancements of Shenzhen but also fostered educational and artistic exchanges. Their performances and interactions left a lasting impression on the local students and attendees of the forum.
