In a pioneering move, Meituan has launched China’s first drone delivery service in a national key park at Lianhua Hill Park. This innovative service aims to enhance visitor convenience and streamline access to park amenities.

The newly established landing site, located in the park’s camping area, allows drones to deliver a variety of products to visitors in as little as nine minutes after placing an order. Customers can choose from nearly 100 items, including iced drinks, fresh fruit, and camping equipment.

Before this service, park visitors had to retrieve their deliveries outside the park due to restrictions on delivery vehicles. This often resulted in melted drinks and delayed convenience. The introduction of drone deliveries addresses these issues, providing a more comfortable and efficient experience for campers.

A Meituan staff member highlighted the benefits of the service, stating, “The drone delivery service acts like a nearby grocery store for our visitors, significantly enhancing their park experience.”

Lianhua Hill Park officials are optimistic about the service’s future, noting that if demand increases, there are plans to expand the delivery options and explore additional park locations with Meituan.

The drone delivery initiative marks a significant step forward in integrating technology with leisure activities, setting a precedent for future innovations in park services.
