Chinese marksman Sheng Lihao, a 19-year-old world record holder, secured his second Olympic gold medal yesterday at the Paris Olympics. Sheng, who had previously paired with Huang Yuting to win the 10m air rifle mixed team event on Saturday, set a new Olympic record with a score of 252.2 points in the individual competition.
The silver medal was fiercely contested among Sweden’s Victor Lindgren, Croatia’s Miran Maricic, and India’s Arjun Babuta. Ultimately, Lindgren held his nerve to secure the second-place finish with 251.4 points.
Sheng’s victory marks the fifth gold medal for Team China at the Paris Olympics, highlighting a strong showing by the nation’s athletes in the games.
