Since opening in 2020, Liantang checkpoint has processed 30.37 million travelers and 2.31 million vehicles. Initially launched for cargo truck clearance, services at the checkpoint were expanded to passenger and small vehicles in 2023. It has become a vital gateway in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
