Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport officially opened its Jiangmen terminal on Wednesday, providing a significant boost to travel convenience for residents on the western side of the Pearl River Delta. The new terminal, located in Xinhui District, Jiangmen, offers check-in services for flight passengers and is the second such facility established on the opposite side of the delta, following the Zhongshan terminal.
The launch of the Jiangmen terminal comes in the wake of the Shenzhong Link’s opening in June, a major infrastructure project that has dramatically reduced travel times between Jiangmen and Shenzhen to approximately one hour. With the terminal’s opening, the express bus service connecting Shenzhen and Jiangmen via the Shenzhong Link has increased its operations to 32 round trips per day, up from 24.
Buses from Jiangmen begin running at 4:30 a.m. and continue until 9 p.m., while those departing from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. To accommodate passengers, the airport has established a dedicated waiting area in Terminal 3, conveniently located about 50 meters from the bus boarding area in the P5 parking lot.
This development is expected to greatly enhance the travel experience for passengers in the region, making air travel more accessible and efficient for those living in Jiangmen and surrounding areas.
