Elon Musk Praises Record-Breaking Drone Performances in Longgang, Shenzhen

Elon Musk recently praised a mesmerizing drone performance in Longgang, which broke two Guinness World Records. The event took place on September 4 and 5 at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center and was organized by Shenzhen High Great Innovation Technology Development Co., Ltd., a tech company based in Longgang.

On September 4, 7,998 drones created the “largest drone light image,” forming a “super sky curtain” that offered a stunning visual spectacle. The following day, 8,100 drones broke the world record for “simultaneous flying” during an 18-minute light show titled Let Love Spin the Universe, designed by the lighting designer of the Paris Olympic Games.

Earlier, on August 3, a drone performance featuring 2,000 drones lit up the night sky during a concert by popular Chinese singer Joker Xue in Longgang. These ongoing performances, a mix of technology and culture, have become a signature of the district.

A special drone formation is scheduled for 8 p.m. on September 15 at the sports center, where thousands of drones will once again create an awe-inspiring display.

Photos and videos of these events have been shared on platforms such as WeChat and X (formerly Twitter), including GIFs of the September 4 record-breaking show.
