Shenzhen Hosts Diplomatic Trade Exchange with a Cultural Touch at Sky Museum

A special trade exchange meeting was held at the Sky Museum in Shenzhen’s Futian District, blending business discussions with a showcase of China’s rich cultural heritage. Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shenzhen, the event themed “Moon Shine in Shenzhen, Friendship Links the World” brought together over 100 participants from 27 countries, including diplomats and business representatives.

The event, aimed at promoting foreign investment and enhancing economic cooperation, introduced initiatives to attract international businesses to Shenzhen. It also unveiled a proposal to establish a regular working mechanism between CCPIT Shenzhen and foreign embassies, consulates, and chambers of commerce in China.

In addition to trade discussions, attendees were treated to live performances of Kunqu opera and the guqin, an ancient seven-string Chinese instrument with over 3,000 years of history. Diplomats and business leaders expressed appreciation for the cultural aspect, noting that such exchanges promote deeper business and cultural ties.

Imran Muhammad, Commercial Counsellor at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual cooperation, while Alessandro Petrini, from the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, praised the event’s framework for enhancing Shenzhen-Italy trade relations.
