Super Typhoon Kong-rey Disrupts Flights Between Hong Kong and Taiwan

As Super Typhoon Kong-rey approaches, at least 24 flights between Hong Kong and Taiwan have been cancelled. The typhoon is forecasted to move towards Taiwan on Wednesday, passing over its central and southern regions on Thursday. It is expected to come within 800km of Hong Kong by Thursday morning and within 500km in the following days.

While the Hong Kong Observatory has stated that the super typhoon will not have a severe impact on the city, air travel disruptions are already being felt as airlines adjust their schedules in response to the storm.
