China COSCO Shipping Corp. Ltd. has inaugurated a new direct shipping route between China and the West Coast of the United States, a move poised to bolster maritime logistics in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The maiden voyage ceremony at Yantian Port marked the departure of a COSCO Shipping vessel loaded with approximately 7,400 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of household appliances and e-commerce products, highlighting the route’s significance in facilitating trade.
