As Super Typhoon Yagi neared Hong Kong on Thursday, 38 flights were cancelled in preparation for the storm. The Airport Authority’s deputy director for airport operations, Chapman Fong Shui-man, announced that transportation would be arranged for affected passengers. All cancelled flights are expected to be rescheduled on Friday through a mechanism designed to handle such disruptions.
This comes as the city braces for the impact of Typhoon Yagi, with a No. 8 storm signal in effect and significant disruptions to public transportation and other services expected.
