Wang Liuyi and Wang Qianyi, celebrated Olympic champions and members of China’s synchronized swimming team, have been named blood donation ambassadors for Shenzhen by the Shenzhen Blood Center. The appointment took place during a ceremony held at the center, where the twin sisters engaged in discussions about the connection between blood donation, health, and exercise.

The Wang twins voiced their strong support for the cause, calling blood donation a “noble public welfare undertaking.” They likened it to their Olympic performance themed “Light of Life,” highlighting how donating blood can bring hope to others. They also expressed their desire to use their influence to inspire more people to support and engage in blood donation.

Following the ceremony, Wang Liuyi and Wang Qianyi visited the blood donation hall, greeted donors, and posed for photos. The twins recently made history at the Paris Olympic Games by winning China’s first-ever Olympic duet title in artistic swimming, adding to their gold medal in the team event.
